Tire size is one of the biggest performance changers on a UTV. Go too big and you lose power and rub everywhere. Go too small and you lose ground clearance.
Here’s the simple breakdown that applies to most modern machines:

Stock Sizes (Common Ranges)

  • 28–30” = stock or close to it

  • 32” = common upgrade

  • 33–35” = big tire setups

  • 37”+ = mud setups with gearing or clutch changes

What to Watch For

  • Fender clearance

  • Wheel offset

  • Clutching changes

  • Axle angles

  • Steering radius

Quick Rule of Thumb

Every 1” of tire height adds roughly ½” of ground clearance.
