It never fails. You finally pull the trigger on the latest and greatest toy—car, gaming system, whatever—and when you fire it up, you feel like you’re king of the world. It’s got all the gadgets you’ve been drooling over and a few new tricks you didn’t even know you needed. That’s exactly how it was when I picked up my 2023 Polaris RZR Pro R. It had way more capability than my last RZR, and honestly, I couldn’t imagine wanting anything more out of a machine.
Then along comes the 2026 RZR Pro R… and man, this thing is bitchen. Revised body panels, a cleaner cage, and finally, doors with actual handles. But the standout feature? Just like modern cars, it now sports a massive center console display. We’re talking a 10.4″ screen (8.3 H x 6.2 W, 1280 x 960 pixels). I love my Ride Command and all, but let’s be real. The screen isn’t exactly easy to read when you’re bombing down a trail at 60 mph while getting bounced around like a pinball. I’d bet this new screen kills the squinting for good.
And even though I’m an old-school desert racer who doesn’t really care about sound systems when im out in the boonies, they bumped the stereo up to 1500 watts. You’ll definitely hear that over the engine howl.
Bottom line? The new Pro R looks more refined, more polished, and honestly a bit cooler. I’m not headed off to the dealership to trade in my ’23, but it’s safe to say the upgrades for this generation are pretty damn slick.
Here’s a short Polaris video showing off the new machine:
