When I picked up my 2023 RZR Pro R 4 Troy Lee Designs, I already had a laundry list of add-ons I wanted to throw on it. One of those things was a set of LED whips. My local shop had a pretty decent pair—rugged, with an outer plastic tube the LED whip sat inside. They took a beating from all the low-hanging trees where I ride.

Eventually, one of the flag fasteners loosened up and the set screw went missing. No big deal—grab another screw, tighten it down, done. Except what really happened was the outer plastic tube had cracked from all the wear and tear, and that basically made the whips useless.

So back to Amazon I went. I didn’t want to drop a ton of money, but I was trying to avoid the ultra-cheap China specials. Well… I flipped that logic around and ordered a pair of Ehaho 3-ft whips (2-pack). They’re shorter than my old 4-ft ones, and they were only about $85. My mindset was: I’ll be lucky to get a couple of years out of any whips anyway, so whatever—price point works.

I did try to get a set with the same electrical plug as my old ones so I wouldn’t have to mess with the control box. They looked the same, but nope, not even close. So I pulled everything apart and spliced the new control box in.

I took my time routing the wiring clean under the SXS, mounted the new quick-disconnect spring in the same spot, and fired the whips up. Honestly, I’m pretty impressed. Tons of patterns, super bright LEDs, plus a phone app to change everything on the fly. They even came with a remote, some cheap little flags, and a switch. Since I spliced into the old power wires, I was able to use my existing Switch-Pro button to run them.

Now, I do like the end result, but I can already tell these won’t last forever. The quick-connect base isn’t milled quite right for the spring mount, so I’m sure the wind whipping my heavy flags around will eventually warp or crack the connectors. But again—the price was cheap, so I’m not losing sleep over it.

If you want some whips and don’t expect them to last forever (considering the cost), I’d say these are worth grabbing. I’m not big on running whips on my rigs anyway, but they make the Mrs. happy, so why not?
